A. Julia Tat graduated from College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina in 2005, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While there, she was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and a member of the College of Charleston Crew team. She then attended the Villanova University School of Law in Villanova, Pennsylvania. During law school, she interned in the Villanova Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic and externed for Federal Magistrate Judge Mary Pat Thynge in the U.S. District Court of Delaware. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars and worked in a civil litigation firm defending workers’ compensation matters in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Having grown up in South Carolina, Julia then returned to her home town of Spartanburg and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November 2013. Prior to joining Eller Tonnsen Bach, Julia spent three years working at a small criminal defense firm representing criminal defendants across the Upstate in a wide range of cases from Municipal and Magistrate matters to General Sessions matters.

When away from the office, Julia enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two miniature dachshunds, Peanut and Jackson, and exploring the SC and NC hiking trails.
