Education & Experience
Brendan took his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bob Jones University, and graduated cum laude in 2013. Thereafter he took a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina . While in law school, Brendan became an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Bar and also represented the school at the American Bar Association tournament. Brendan’s efforts were rewarded by induction into the national Order of the Barristers organization, and a commendation for “Excellence at Oral Argument” by Judge Dennis Shedd of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to Moot Court, Brendan also was a member of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business where he assisted in the publication of a symposium edition of the journal.
In addition to studying law, Brendan also pursued a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business. He graduated, cum laude, with a dual degree in December 2016.
During School he clerked for a general practice where he took part in numerous representations including various professional malpractice litigation, construction defect litigation, federal § 1983 litigation, and business transaction representations.
After school Brendan clerked for the Honorable Perry H. Gravely, then Chief Administrative Judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit. In this role, Brendan advised the judge on matters ranging from corporate shareholder litigation to complex tort cases, assisted in numerous trials, and facilitated case-flow in the circuit.
In his penultimate role, Brendan practiced in a litigation firm in Spartanburg representing governmental entities in federal litigation.
Brendan was appointed by Governor Henry McMaster to serve on the Pickens County Water Authority, and he enjoys serving the residents of Pickens County.
Outside of professional pursuits, Brendan spends his time on various hobbies, and enjoying life with his wife Alicia and dog Bailey.
