Education & Experience
Laura L. Miller graduated from Wayne State University in 2010, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. During her undergraduate degree, Laura interned with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, Laura became a paralegal with a law firm in her hometown of Wyandotte, Michigan.
While employed as a paralegal, Laura then attended Wayne State University Law School and graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2017. During law school, Laura served as an Article Editor and Executive Board Article Editor on The Journal of Law in Society, to which she authored a student note, Marital Rape in Michigan: From Exemption to Limited Exception. Laura’s student note was selected for publication and was subsequently published in the Fall 2018 Edition of The Journal of Law in Society.
Laura was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in May 2018. After graduating from law school and passing the Michigan State Bar, Laura became a practicing Attorney, specializing in probate matters such as guardianship, conservatorship, probate administration and estate planning. Laura was admitted to the South Carolina State Bar in October 2020 and recently moved to South Carolina in Summer 2021.
When she is not practicing law, Laura enjoys spending time with her friends and family, weekends on the boat on Lake Hartwell, as well relaxing at home with her two kittens, Riker and Ash.
