Patrick concentrates his practice on civil litigation defense.

A native of Columbia, S.C., Patrick attended the University of South Carolina and earned a degree in Political Science in 2015. While in college, Patrick was inducted into the University’s Hall of Leaders and was named to the Dean’s List and President’s List. Patrick then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2018. During law school, Patrick was named to the Dean’s List and President’s List, earned four CALI Awards, and served as an Articles Editor on the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Journal where he also wrote a published article: Beware-bnb?: Adapting the Regulatory Approach of Community Associations to Residential Sharing & Zoning Trends, 53 Real Prop. Tr. & Est. L. J. 373 (2018). Patrick also served as chair of the Law School Ambassadors and volunteered as a Peer Mentor.

While in law school, Patrick worked as an intern in the chambers of several state and federal court judges: Justice John C. Few (S.C. Supreme Court); Judge H. Bruce Williams (S.C. Court of Appeals); and Judge Richard M. Gergel (U.S. District Court).

After graduating from law school, Patrick served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable D. Garrison Hill at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. While at the court, Patrick managed cases from initial review through the drafting of published and unpublished opinions on appeal from South Carolina circuit courts, family courts, probate courts, the Administrative Law Court, and the Workers’ Compensation Commission. He drafted recommendations, evaluated oral argument, and worked closely with Judge Hill and other chambers to draft, circulate, and finalize opinions on a variety of areas of law.

Patrick is an avid runner and enjoys traveling in his free time.
